BUCKCHERRY Singer Says Lawsuit Has 'No Merit'

Launch Radio Networks reports: BUCKCHERRY's raunchy video for the song "Crazy Bitch" was pulled from circulation last month when an underage girl sued the band, claiming she was coerced into taking her top off and dancing provocatively in the clip. BUCKCHERRY vocalist Joshua Todd told Launch that the band is confident that the case will go in their favor. "Alls we can say about that is that the lawsuit has no merit and we're just working through it with our attorney and the truth will come out at some point, and right now we can't really talk about it," he said. "It's unfortunate that people do that type of stuff, you know. They're just out to extort money from people, you know. I'm not saying that that's the situation that's going on, but you know what I mean."

According to the Los Angeles Times, the girl was allegedly given alcohol at the video shoot and filmed after answering a call for extras posted at the band's MySpace page.

BUCKCHERRY's lawyer claimed that the girl must have gotten into the shoot with a fake I.D., noting that participants had to sign a release form and show proof that they were over 18.

A new video for "Crazy Bitch" has since been filmed.

BUCKCHERRY's third album, "15, was certified gold this week for sales of over 500,000 copies. The disc ended a three-year hiatus for the band following the disappointing sales of its 2001 album, "Time Bomb".

BUCKCHERRY is on tour with CROSSFADE and plays tonight (Friday, October 27) in Detroit.
